An End Table Before n' After

Happy Monday!

I am going through some serious withdrawals since we don't have the internet hooked up at our new place yet! I have had to go to my mom's to get my fix ;) and I'm actually glad I have to work today so I can catch up on all of your lovely blogs! (because, ya know, what else is work for?)

I thought I would share a simple before and after this morning.

I had my eye on this end table (from my fiance's family) for some time. I loved the girly shape of it and knew that opening would be perfect for a cute little basket.

Ta-da! It never ceases to amaze me what a few coats of white paint can do! I added the glass knobs and now this pretty end table is sitting happily in our living room.

~Have a beautiful day! Talk to you soon!~

House of the Week

This week we have another Ansley Park gem. This one looks to be late 1920's or so. While photographing, I admired the architectural details, mature greenery, and the wonderful front porch. Front porch living is a lost art these days...

Love the brackets and the detail on the shutters.

Can you see the porch ceiling? Great detail!

Beautiful fan detail over the front door.

This house overlooks Winn Park, an added bonus - a view from the porch!

A special day for Maja

Today it is the first day in the Kindergarten for Maja. A little more than 14 months since she was born she is happy to get a place in the two year old Kindergarten close to her home. A special day for Maja and her parents. We wish you all good luck in the pedagogical development starting in this new phase today.

Sunday's Psalm--18th Sunday of Ordinary Time

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

You turn man back to dust,
saying, “Return, O children of men.”
For a thousand years in your sight
are as yesterday, now that it is past,
or as a watch of the night.

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

You make an end of them in their sleep;
the next morning they are like the changing grass,
Which at dawn springs up anew,
but by evening wilts and fades.

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

Teach us to number our days aright,
that we may gain wisdom of heart.
Return, O LORD! How long?
Have pity on your servants!

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

Fill us at daybreak with your kindness,
that we may shout for joy and gladness all our days.
And may the gracious care of the LORD our God be ours;
prosper the work of our hands for us!
Prosper the work of our hands!

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

from Psalm 90
