Airline Merger
United and Continental have sealed their merger deal. The new airline will called "UnContented."



Greek Bailout
$7 billion worth of the Greek bailout is coming from the U.S. Think of it as a taxpayer downpayment against any sequel for "My Big Fat Greek Wedding."

In last night's California gubernatorial debate, sparks flew when Steve Poizner accused Meg Whitman of making obscene profits from Goldman Sachs... and from her stint as the model for the cover of the Quaker Oats box.



World Cup Sacrifice

1948: The U.S. Supreme Court rules that covenants prohibiting the sale of real estate to blacks and other minorities are legally unenforceable. Racists then figure out that the best way to attack minorities is to give them an adjustable rate mortgage.


2006: Zacarias Moussaoui is sentenced to life in prison in Alexandria, Virginia. He avoids the more severe punishment of life outside of prison in Alexandria, Virginia.
