Oscar Night
Last night's Oscar broadcast was a complete success... mostly because Alec Baldwin didn't once yell at his daughter of try to commit suicide.

Pay Cut Bill
Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick has introduced a bill to cut pay for members of Congress by 5%. Kirkpatrick is now not only the Democratic frontrunner for President in 2012, she's also the frontrunner to be sainted by the Vatican by 2011.

Bigelow Wins
Katherine Bigelow became the first woman to win the Oscar for Best Director for "The Hurt Locker." That means women directors need to win the next 69 Oscars to be as good as the UConn women's basketball team.

Hughes Tribute
During the Oscars, all the stars of the late John Hughes' movies took to the stage. It's not clear if that was to honor Hughes or to discourage anyone who thinks letting their kids become actors is a good idea.

OT Nurse
One nurse in California earned more than $177,000 in overtime pay last year. Now she's costing taxpayers even more money this year as she needs $200,000 in care for exhaustion.
