It has been awhile since I posted any benches, other subjects have prevailed. However, I have shot one or two that might be of interest to the "bench-blogging community". In addition, a colleague of mine has also shot a few that he showed me (he is a much better photographer than I am) and which I'm sure others will appreciate too. My own photos this Friday are from the harbour of the Cretan city Hania ( or as Wikipedia puts it: Chaniá (Greek: Χανιά, /xaˈɲa/, also transliterated Chania, Hania, and Xania, older form Chanea and Venetian Canea, Ottoman Turkish خانيه Hanya) is the second largest city of Crete and the capital of the Chania Prefecture. It lies along the north coast of the island, about 70 km (43 mi) west of Rethymno and 145 km (90 mi) west of Heraklion.)
The town is ancient and its history varied, and so is its geography. These photos were taken in the so-called Venetian harbour with the Egyptian Lighthouse. And of course show some of the many benches that stands along the quay and where you among other things can study your newspaper...
